Both kids went to school today. Katie had to finish her science quiz at lunch time so she had to miss interact club.
Maureen’s cat is back after going missing for 8 months! Maureen is the lady we bought our house from.
My wife took Batman to the vet today and everything checked out fine. Judging from the photo to the right though he was not too excited about it!
We let the chickens out in the afternoon and now they wait by the door ready to run out! Even Empress (the mother 2 year old hen) came out and roamed around for the first time! It took forever for one of the Hmongs (grey hens) to come out since she was busy bathing in a dirt bath! Pebbles and Pandora were buy establishing the pecking order with puffed chests and wings out! Maple (as expected) cared only for her ball. Pandora was very interested in Maple… She kept coming around and looking at her.
My wife went to pick Bobby up after school today but he wanted to walk home with Dominic and Connor so my wife just drove the van back by herself.
Tomorrow will be Katie’s first “Independent Trip” ever! She will be going to a Interact Club/Rotary event at Lake Cowichan where they will be educating and “grooming” the future leaders of tomorrow. She will be going with Soulina and they will be staying at a lodge there and it will last from Friday noon to Sunday noon. Katie is very excited about it! It is a great opportunity for her!
The kids enjoy having eggs for breakfast so I picked some up when I was out this evening. With so many hens when will they start earning their keep?
