Day #5810 – (Tue., Dec. 2, 2025) – RYLA Presentation

Katie and Soulina gave their presentation to the Rotary luncheon in Crown Isle today about their RYLA trip (see photo to the right). My wife and I had to give her permission to leave the school. Katie tells me that some kids leave the school and go to McDonalds and never come back. Her teacher Monica commented: “Such great presenters!”.

Katie’s math grade went up to 93.3 by fixing the knotty lab grade and the 100 she just got on a test.

The kids opened Day #2 of the Advent Calendar today when they got home from school. Bobby got some powder that when you put in water will form crystals.

Bobby fell on the gym floor at school today and came home in crutches. My wife was planning on taking him to Urgent Care, but he was better by the evening. He did do his violin lesson via zoom though.

Daisy wanted Katie to come in person for her viola lesson so I drove her out to her place in Royston. Daisy was really impressed with the progress she has made. We dropped a book off at the Courtenay library on the way there.

One of our new hens, which Katie named “Morticia”, is a pest! She is pecking the others and won’t let them come up onto the roost to perch. In the end we had to put all the other chickens up and keep her away.
