Bobby is home sick today but Katie went to school. Only two days of school left for this year at Vanier before Christmas break! On Friday she will be flying to Toronto with her mother while Bobby and I stay home and tend to the animals and man the fort. Bobby has school on Friday and I will drop him off and pick him up, and drive the rest of the fam to the Comox Airport for their flight to Toronto!
While in Toronto they will be staying in a tower on the sixth floor, #611. Fran’s Restaurant is in the tower and it is open 24/7. Apparently even the grocery stores are open 24/7.
I picked up Katie at Vanier at 3:10 pm this afternoon. Gone were the bright sunny skies of yesterday. Today was rainy and dreary, typical Comox Valley weather for this time of year. We ended up at Starbucks where Katie got a drink and a “Polar Bear” cake pop (see photo to the right).
For today’s Advent Calendar the kids got some McDonald’s coupons and a large candy cane filled with chocolate candies.
Katie’s math quiz was 94% so she now has a 93.9% grade.
