Day #5828 – (Sat., Dec. 20, 2025) – Romeo & Juliet

Bobby was up before I was this morning. He took care of the chickens and heard me up so opened the door to the bedroom and asked if he could feed Batman. After that I gave Batman his medicine.

I was thinking of taking Bobby out this afternoon, perhaps to Benino’s where we could have a gelato and play a bit of Comoxopoly, but he had a stomach ache and wanted to stay at home. He ate 3 of the 8 blueberry muffins I picked up at Costco last night, so that certainly didn’t help. I’m thinking that if he has oatmeal and blueberries with some maple syrup to start the day, that might coat his stomach and make the sugar and fat that seems to give him problems more tolerable? Worth a try.

In Toronto the temperature today is 0 degrees and windy. Katie and her mother went to the mall for hour hours and to see Romeo & Juliet in the evening (see photo to the right).

I was thinking of taking Bobby to see the “Five Nights At Freddy’s” movie in either Nanaimo or Campbell River since it is no longer playing here in Courtenay. When I mentioned it to him he said that someone from his class wanted to see it but since it’s classified as 14 a, which means: “It’s considered too intense for young children, but not extreme, and viewers under 14 are allowed with an adult“, he said he would not be allowed in. Well, that’s not technically true, as I would accompany him, but rather than pursue a potentially troublesome movie with him, if he’s fine not going that’s fine with me.

I gave Bobby some “Pepcid” this evening and that seemed to calm his stomach down a bit.

Apparently there are two stores in Toronto that sell “Jellycats”, potential Christmas gifts for Katie.
