My wife left for Duncan at 3 pm today. This will be her first week at her new job, starting tomorrow. The original plans for the week were for her to stay until Friday night, but now she will be returning to Courtenay on Thursday evening. Katie is the woman of the house until she comes back and is relishing the opportunity.
Bobby and Katie cleaned up the house a bit this afternoon. The wife left some chores for all of us. The kids got the bulk of the duties, which is nice. I do have to clean up the “poop” off the chicken roosts and think about how to feed the kids…
We are out of ramen so the kids wanted fast food for dinner tonight. Katie drove with me to Wendy’s to pick up some food for her, and then to McDonalds to pick up food for Bobby. They gathered around the TV to eat it (see photo to the right).
It was a long day today so the kids just wanted to stay home and “chill” this evening. We all watched a bit of television together. The YouTube channel “Game Theory” was a hit.
This evening, after Bobby went to bed, Katie and I watched some old showings of “Keeping Up Appearances”, “All In The Family”, and “Get Smart”. We also watched a bit of the Twilight Episode where the the last guy on earth has all the books he wants to read, but then he breaks his classes. We also watched a documentary of people in the south to eat “mud”!
