Day #4523 (Wed., May. 25, 2022) – Theater Performance

My wife is off to Washington for a business conference today so I’m home with the kids.  Bobby still has a bad cough so we’re keeping him home from school today.

Uber picked my wife up at the door around 7:30 am.  I bundled up Katie and took her to school soon after with Bobby in tow. I tried to get him to take a nap as he is still recovering from this “virus” (you should hear his cough), but no-go.

It wasn’t long before we had to turn around and go back to Phillips to see Katie’s performance in her class’s production of “Little Red Riding Hood” (or a knockoff there of).  Katie was the grandmother who comes in towards the end of the play.  Bobby and I had to sign in before we we went to the auditorium.

After bringing Bobby home for a bit we turned around and went back to get Katie as she’s done school for the day.  Katie mentioned that her small group orchestra audition today went well.  She said that her group went last as was the best of them all.  I took the kids to Chick-Fil-A to celebrate.

This evening Katie switched into “mom mode” and took care of Bobby for the most part.  She even did his homework with him.

After a quick “Face Time” on Katie’s phone with her mom it was time to put Bobby to bed.
