Katie’s Play Doh dried out so we threw it out. She was complaining about not having Play Doh this evening so “Daddy To The Rescue”!. I found a homemade recipe for Play Doh (see photo to the right) and here it is:
1) 2 cups flour
2) 2 cups warm water
3) 1 cup salt
4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
5) food coloring
We didn’t have these ingredients “exactly” so I did the best I could. Here goes:
1) 2 cups whole wheat flour
2) 2 cups warm water
3) 1 cup salt
4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
5) Katie’s watercolor paints
It did the trick. Katie and I played with it for a while…cutting it and shaping it and rolling it into balls. Sure is a cheap solution to this problem.
Katie started to recite “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” this evening while my wife was changing her. Here is what she has so far…
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Now I Wonder What You Are…
I showed her the Wiggles singing it on televison so she could learn the rest of the words…
