Just before I left for work the phone rang. Lowe’s is delivering our new stove (see photo to the right) this morning. My wife needed to take off a couple of sides of the gazebo this morning so that our new stove could come in via the patio area (our real estate agent wanted us to get a new white one so that it would match all our other appliances.
I called home before I left work to let my wife know that I was on my way. It is so nice and warm outside that my wife and Katie were playing on the patio. Katie took great delight in telling me that she saw a bumblebee.
When I got home this evening and opened the car door I heard a young child laughing. When I got out of the car and looked up…way up…I saw Katie. She was looking down from the top floor of our townhouse and laughing…daddy was home. As soon as I took my case out of the back of the car she disappeared and met me half-way down the stairway. She wanted to greet daddy as he came home from work.
Katie was very fussy this evening. She would moan and cry at the drop of a hat. My wife was right…she usually gets this way just before she has a #2. Once she had a #2 later in the evening she was fine.
