Day #991 (Thu., Sept. 20, 2012) – “They Clean My Poopies”
When I left for work today Katie was pretending to be a lion. She was fascinated with the badge that I use to enter the office building. It has my picture on it and Katie wanted to know how it worked.
Take a look at the photo to the right. It outlines some of the healthy snacks parents should make for their children. As part of the school program parents have to bring in some snacks for all the children from time-to-time.
When I got home from work this evening Katie was in a very aggressive mood. When she hit daddy my wife put her in her room for a “time out”. She wouldn’t apologize to daddy so she had to stay there til she did. Once she cried out that she was sorry but when my wife went to pick her up she said she wasn’t and asked for some vanilla ice cream. Eventually she apologized and “life goes on”… We’re wondering if she is picking up this aggressive behavior from her preschool?
Katie asked me what the baby wipes were for. She then answered her own question when she said that “they clean my poopies”.
Katie seems to like the television series “Full House”…the one that my wife and I used to watch way back in the 1990’s. I guess that some shows are timeless. They don’t seem to have family comedies like that any more. I guess reality television has taken over.
