Day #995 (Mon., Sept. 24, 2012) – The Barred Owl
Katie seems fascinated with the process of daddy going to work. This morning she was asking me if I had any toys to play with at work. I told her no and that she would have much more fun playing with all the toys at her school. She replied “Yippee”. You can see a photo of her playing with her school friends in the photo to the right. Guess which kid is the tallest?
At lunchtime today I went to Target to get a toothbrush for Katie. I ended up getting some generic brushes for my wife and I and a little “Winnie The Pooh” toothbrush for Katie.
This evening I heard a hooting in the trees in the back of our house. We gathered up Katie and we went out on the patio to hear the barred owl. She asked what it was doing and we said that it was singing. We then showed her some clips of a barred owl hooting on YouTube.
