Day #1116 (Wed., Jan. 23, 2013) – A Pea In The Nostril

We had a hard time getting Katie ready for school this morning. She was crying and saying that she wanted to stay home with daddy. I told her that I had to go to work but that didn’t seem to make any difference. We gave her a lollipop as she went out the door and that apparently did the trick. My wife emailed me and said:

Katie was amazingly good! The lollipop did the wonders! She also had some juice. She even peed on the potty at school!!! And happily announced that to everybody. When she saw Mary, she said: “Here I am!” Mary said: “oh, that means we can start the school now – Katie is here!” Then Katie ran to Miss Kristine and said: “Guess what? I peed on the potty!”

Our heating stopped working this afternoon. My wife called the heating guys from Burlington and fortunately they were soon here. I guess Katie really took to them. She probably remembers them from when they put our HVAC unit in this past summer. She even gave Bobby a big hug.

Katie can sure make a mess when she gives her toy animals a bath. Take a look at the photo to the left.

Later this afternoon Katie was eating a hotdog and peas when she complained that her nose hurts. My wife had a bad suspicion witch came true… She found a pea in her nostril… Luckily, it was easy to remove.
