Day #1120 (Sun., Jan. 27, 2013) – I’m Not The Queen Of Sheba
Katie was watching television on the master bed this morning when she smelled something. “Is mommy making me turkey bacon?” she asked, then off she ran…
Katie found another use for her Elmo Floor Puzzle, as you can see in the photo to the left.
Katie said that she wanted mommy to get her some grapes this afternoon. I asked her “Who do you think you are, the Queen of Sheba”? She said “No, I’m not the Queen of Sheba”.
Katie’s nose is still running so the debate today is whether she will be ready for school tomorrow or not. Here’s the breakdown:
- My wife has an appointment in the morning so the plan was that I would drop Katie off.
- It’s “Sleep Over Day” where the kids come to school in their PJ’s and the school’s director makes pancakes for them.
- There is talk of wintery weather overnight so most schools in our area are on a 3 hour delay.
Katie is not going to bed early today so she will probably be totally exhausted tomorrow. So, in combination with all the other factors I mentioned above, we decided that we would not send Katie to school. It’s a shame that she will have to miss “Sleep Over Day”…but she is young…she will never remember what she missed (til she reads this blog when she gets older that is…).
