Day #1135 (Mon., Feb. 11, 2013) – Sharing Issues
After school, Miss April came up to my wife to say that Katie pooped on the potty! I asked how Katie is doing in general. April said that she is good, of course, she is having sharing issues which is normal for this age. We certainly can vouch for that.
The photo to the left shows the Valentine that Katie made in school today.
My wife came across the following article today:
Most 3-year-olds can count to three and know the names of some of the numbers up to ten. Your child is also starting to recognize numbers from one to nine. He’ll be quick to point it out if he receives fewer cookies than his playmate.
Although your child may only be able to count one or two blocks or trucks now, by the end of this year he’ll be counting up to four or five. Counting without seeing what’s being counted (2 + 2 = 4) is harder still, usually not accomplished until closer to kindergarten.
Very interesting… Is Katie a year ahead or are the authors a bit too slow? She’s been counting up to five for a while now…
