Day #1256 (Wed., Jun 12, 2013) – Splashing In The Pool
At lunchtime today I went to the Dollar Store to pick up some kid’s birthday cards for my wife. I decided to get eight…plenty to choose from for the upcoming birthday parties for Katie’s classmates. While there I picked up:
- Some gift wrap.
- Squirt guns.
- An inflatable alligator (see photo to the left).
- Dinosaurs.
When I arrived home our new neighbors Al & Ewa were there with their two daughters. Gabby was enjoying life in the pool with Katie. She especially enjoyed riding on the inflatable alligator I gave them. Soon we invited them all inside for a bottle of beer and a glass of wine. We got talking about cuisine, child rearing, and life in general. Katie and Gabby were taking shopping carts around the house and it appears that they were purchasing various supplies.
Zach was quite active this evening. No more lying around with sleepy eyes like he has been for the past few days. I suppose that having two screaming girls around you is reason enough to perk up.
