Day #1291 (Wed., July 17, 2013) – Going Straight Home
I thought I would show the finished product of the “Velvet Castle” Katie and I built last night. You can see a photo to the left.
This evening we took Katie out to Maple Dairy Farms for some ice cream. On the drive there we asked her if she wanted to order her own ice cream. She said no. I asked her what she would do when she got older and wanted some ice cream. She said she wanted to be a doctor. Once we arrived she did order her own ice cream. A cup of strawberry.
As is the usual scenario Katie saw a dog. Katie ran after the dog. Katie’s ice cream melts. This time though we got a cup for her so we will be able to give it to her on the drive home. Something else that was different is that Katie was running around the parking lot and did not stop when my wife asked her to. This is something that we will not tolerate so we decided to make it a learning experience. We put her in the car and drove home. I tried to drive home the fact the reason we were going home is that Katie did not listen to mommy and stop when she was told to. As a result she will not be able to play with the doggie. Katie cried…but she will learn…
