Day #1295 (Sun., July 21, 2013) – Staying Home
After yesterday’s excitement we were all rather tired today so we decided to just stay at home. Even Katie, who is usually looking for somewhere “to go” was content with just staying at home and playing with her toys.
My wife ordered an umbrella from Amazon yesterday. Hopefully it will protect us from the sun a bit better on our future lake outings. The sun and dehydration can really wipe you out.
Katie has really taken to the exercise bike that we brought up from the basement. She will balance on the front of it, hook her arms behind her on the handle bars, and work the pedals with her feet. Kind of an unusual way to get some exercise…but it works for her.
We ordered a large pizza from Papa John’s this evening…they delivered it. My wife said that we needed to get olives on it for Katie. She was right. Katie picked off the olives and munched away…
This evening my wife made some red play doh so Katie and I made some red pancakes, red biscuits, and red cookies. I actually made a red donut (see photo to the right) that looked very much like the real thing. We had some brown play doh but Katie is really into the color red these days and asked for it by name.
