Day #1465 (Tue., Jan. 7, 2014) – Coldest Day On Record
Today was the coldest day on record for many areas of the United States. In fact in every state, including Hawaii, there was a location that was below zero. It was certainly cold outside…but not as bad as I initially thought it would be.
I took the day off from work. Katie and I made a “cat tunnel” (see photo to the right) out of the tv aerial box today. We would throw the spring into one end of the tunnel and the cats would chase it.
I drew a world map on a huge piece of the cardboard box that the television came in. I just need to paint it. Once finished Katie will be able to put her animals on various areas of the map that are their natural habitat.
Katie helped us out today…she washed her marker drawings off all the windows. She did make the comment: “Boy, it’s hard to wash the whole house… Do I have to wash the whole house?”
When Katie went to bed this evening I managed to paint the various areas of the map I drew out. Now Katie will be able to put her jungle animals on the various regions that is their natural habitat.
