Day #1694 (Sun., Aug. 24, 2014) – Soccer Cleats
At 10am this morning I took Katie to the playground so that she could meet more of her classmates in the “Frog” class this year. She took great delight in writing her name on the nametag (see photo to the left). There was a little girl there with an Ariel the Mermaid shirt on and Katie made great efforts in going up to her and introducing herself and saying she liked her shirt. This girl was too busy playing with Amelia but at least Katie took the effort. I told her all the way home in the car how proud I was of her.
We went home and picked up my wife and went to Dick’s Sporting Goods so that she could get a pair of soccer cleats. The people from her soccer club were there after noon handing out coupons. We also went to the Dollar Store and Five Below to get some presents for Katie. We then stopped off at Moe’s for lunch where we got nachos and a Joey burrito and a chocolate chip cookie for Katie as well.
I had a nap when I got home and my wife went to bed around 8pm and I tended to Katie. She didn’t fall asleep til after 10:30am so there were many rounds of food and potty stops and watching television and reading in-between.
