Matthew, a guy I work with, mentioned that his father and brother were coming into town and that they planned to go see the “Paperhand Puppet Intervention” on Friday. He said that Katie would love it. I mentioned it to my wife and this is where they went today. I stayed at home and tended to Bobby.
It was held at the “Forest Theatre” in Chapel Hill at 2pm. Both my wife and Katie loved it. My wife thinks that Katie enjoyed it even more than Mary Poppins. It certainly was cheaper. I was never to it but the various creatures and dynamics remind me of what I have seen about the Lion King performances. I would love to take Katie to things like this but with my knee not feeling 100% it’s safer for me to just stay at home rather than aggravate it.
Bobby is becoming harder and harder to change all the time. He will roll around on the changing table and you have to struggle with him to put his clothes on. At least the zebra on the wall distracts him (see photo to the right). He is constantly trying to peel the legs off so I guess we will have to move this decal further up the wall.
It’s fun to hang out with Bobby. I spent a lot of time with Katie but looking back at it I realize just how quickly these formative years go. It makes me want to spend all that more time with Bobby while I still can.
