Day #2817 (Fri., Sep. 22, 2017) – Dalmatian Costume
The photo to the left shows the dalmatian costume that Katie will be wearing for Halloween this year. My wife got it on eBay for a song as it had one of the mittens missing. This year Bobby will be Fireman Sam, my wife will be the nurse, I will be a firetruck (decked ou wheelchair), and of course, Katie will be the dalmatian.
I dropped Katie off at school this morning. She is still asking me questions about my operation and more specifically why I will need to be away from home. It seems it is the “being away from home” that bothers her the most. Even though it will only be one or two days in the hospital, she seems really bothered by it. She keeps asking why I need to be away and she didn’t need to be away when she cut her finger.
Bobby has a runny nose and I feel like I’m getting what he has. Here we go again. It seems like I was constantly sick during Katie’s first year of preschool. One kid would bring something to class and with all the touching and sharing, well, it’s only a matter of time till every kid get it and then pass it on to the parents. We were hoping that Bobby would have gotten almost everything from Katie already but I guess it doesn’t work that way.
Remember “Max and Ruby”? It was a television show that Katie used to love to watch when she was Bobby’s age. It features a girl rabbit and her younger brother rabbit. I can see the similarities between Katie and Bobby actually. I put it on the television this evening and they both really enjoyed it. Katie said that she had a book about the show but does not remember watching it on television.
