Day #3387 (Mon., Apr. 15, 2019) – Lucy Dies
I took Bobby to preschool this morning. Bobby and I met with Frankie and Aven and their moms behind the school afterward to play. When they couldn’t see the kids they went to get them while I stayed behind at the picnic table. When they returned with the kids I guess they were talking about meeting at Weaver Street Market for lunch. Well, Bobby was all worked up about it by now, so off we went. Bobby ate almost nothing, but he did enjoy the strawberry ice cream bar I got him (see photo to the left).
By the time we got home, I was afraid that Bobby would not go to sleep for a nap, but I managed to coax him into one. Frankie lent Bobby a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle so he took that to bed with him.
There were all sort of emergency vehicles on our street this afternoon. It turns out Lucy had a heart attack and died. Katie was upset about it for the rest of the day. This is really the first death she has ever experienced. My wife plans to take her to the funeral.
