Day #3462 (Sat., Jun 29, 2019) – Heading For Home

Maple was dragging an old plastic milk bottle around this morning and woke baby Ayra up. She was real fussy as a result.

We were thinking of taking the ferry to Southport, but in the end decided to just pack up and leave. It was nice to be able to leave early, which means we will be back home early. It will be nice to sleep in our own beds again and say good-bye to the “kiddie toilet”.

Soon after we left Katie threw up so we had to stop off at a secluded spot in a mall parking lot to clean it up. We were thinking of stopping off at the McDonald’s Play Area at Newton Grove, but Bobby fell asleep, so we just kept driving.

Just before we reached Raleigh there was a lot of construction so we took an alternate route. We ended up in Garner, and decided to have lunch at the Chick-Fil-A. Well, as it turns out, the place was packed and it took quite a while to get our food. We ended up eating in the car on the drive home.

We arrived home around 3pm. I went right to bed as I was exhausted after the long drive. Maple of course was not tired…she wanted to play (see photo to the left).

Ginger is sure happy to see us as we have been gone all week. She slept on Katie’s bed and my wife put her out once Katie fell asleep.
