Day #3464 (Mon., Jul 1, 2019) – Happy Canada Day!
Today is Canada Day!
I asked the kids what they wanted to do this morning. I gave them three options:
1) Science Museum
2) Park
3) Ride Escalators at Mall
Katie wanted option #2 but Bobby wanted option #3. Katie said that she would not be too opposed to #3, so off we went…
The mall is just not the same without the play area. They took it out a while back and put benches in place. What’s the value of that? There were already plenty of areas to sit down…
I took four quarters into the mall and gave the kids two each to put in the various vending machines. They got bubble gum and candies (see photo to the right).
After riding the escalators a bit I decided that we would go to the Dollar Store. I thought we would try the one in Pittsboro as it might have a different selection of toys. Bobby got a soldier and Katie got a figure that expands in water. Bobby got candy worms and Katie got candy bracelets.
My wife took Bobby to swim class this evening. He has started to do the freestyle stroke. Miss Barbara said that she would bring him a present next week as a reward.
