I had to go to Home Depot today to get some “stuff” to install the bike accessories that I picked up yesterday. Is it ever hot! I don’t remember it being this hot in Nova Scotia when I lived there 30 years ago! Global warming? Perhaps!
I was planning on getting another “bunjee cord”, but a longer one, to secure Katie’s igloo case to the back of her bike, but I found this “Husky Fastener” which I think will work much better (see photo to the right). I also picked up some black zip ties to secure the two water bottles to the bikes. In terms of Bobby’s bell, I need to drill a small hole into it so that I can insert some wire and use that to secure the bell to his handlebars.

The deer are getting into our land and eating up our apple blossoms and other flowers (see photo to the left). We thought it might be because a gate was open, but I chased them to the back of our property and it appears that there is an entry way that they are getting in through. So, not only do we need to get an automatic gate at the front of our property, we need to figure out how to stop them getting in through the back of our property as well. It appears that there is something new to contend with each day…

Katie’s art is getting more beautiful and elaborate each and every day! (see photo to the right). Notice the cat on this boy’s shoulder, and the fact that Katie is initializing her drawings with “KLF’, and giving the date!
This evening Bobby went bike riding with Mitch, who lives down the street, and his cousin. They drove over to Mitch’s house to play frisbee… Mitch came over, knocked on the door, and invited Bobby… This reminds me of my CCM Mustang “3 Speed” bike that we bought at Tibbett’s Paints in downtown Truro for about $75… A lot of money back then. You changed gears by pedaling backwards, and the tires had a red stripe on t hem.
