Day #5496 – (Wed., Jan. 22, 2025) – Amanda Stops By…

Both kids went to school today but Katie was not feeling well so I dropped by Vanier to pick her up at lunch time. On the drive home she told me that she was doing exponentials and polynomials in math class. I told her that this is like logic and a very good skill to learn.

Amanda dropped by today to sign the kids passport photos before we send the application away. She said that she is going to look around to find some good “automatic gate” contractors. I guess her neighborhood in Campbell River is filled with automatic gates, so surely at least one of them was installed by a reliable contractor? Let’s hope…

I had to go to Scotiabank today to drop off my form to get my address changed. They said that I could just email it to them, but it contained both my SSN & SIN & Driver’s License numbers and I was not about to email that. The other option was to drop it off at Scotiabank and they would send it via their “internal mail bag”, so that’s the option I took. The Courtenay branch was closed due to some electrical or water leak, so I ended up at the Comox branch (see photo to the left). What a pretty little place downtown Comox is! The workman said that the downtown construction project you can see in the photo would be 3 years to complete!

I picked up Bobby after school today. He told me that Dominik didn’t mention coming over yesterday, but his younger brother Connor did.

Carolyn, our neighbor, has been telling us what a special girl Katie is! We know!
