Katie went to Vanier for 3 hours this morning to help create some posters to welcome the new kids to the school year. She mentioned “today was really good – I had nothing to worry about. Two of my friends were there and I met two new people who actually know Madeline. I’m actually excited for next week now instead of mostly nervous”.
Bobby and I had Daddy/Son Day #97 today! For starters we went to Canadian Tire to pick up a new combination lock for his bike. We decided to get a “chain” one this time as it will be easier to manage on the electric bike. On the way out I happened to see a display of pocket knives. There was one with Bobby on it (see photo to the right), so I asked him if he wanted it? You know he said yes!
I also stopped by the Courtenay Pharmacy to pick up a couple of prescriptions for my wife, but that’s not really part of the Daddy/Son Day is it? At any rate, we were able to use our new CAA Dental Insurance Plan, which activated today… For some reason it also includes prescriptions? Potentially great deal!
Back to Daddy/Son Day! We went to see “The Bad Guys 2” movie at Landmark Cinemas (see photo to the left). I picked up a LARGE combo for Bobby this time, which means unlimited refills on popcorn and drinks. Bobby was not able to finish the popcorn, but we picked up a refill to take home with us in case Katie or my wife wanted a snack.
Bobby and I passed the Creami devices when we were at Canadian Tire. I mentioned that we have a lot of fresh berries on the property, what a great ingredient to make Creami ice cream out of. He expressed a desire to have a blackberry one. I made the suggestion to add chocolate chips as well.
