Bobby rode his bike to school today. He packed his snacks and took his water bottle. They will be having hot dogs for lunch so no need to pack a lunch. We got to talking about seaweed and the fact that Kirkland is the delicious one. He had me try it (see photo to the right). I’m not convinced… 🙁 Reminds me of the “Spiralina” drink I used to take back in the 90’s when I was into marathon running.
I had an “Intake Session” with Dr. Keating via Zoom at 11 am this morning. My wife is on “Indigenous Training” all day and could not make it. She asked a lot of questions about Katie and when we were done she mentioned that there were a lot of signs pointing to autism and it’s good to explore it further.
I picked up Katie at Vanier this afternoon and we went for pizza! I didn’t tell this to Bobby, we wanted to surprise him after his long day of biking! We decided upon Papa Johns, the first time we have had it in Courtenay. The trip to pick it up at their Courtenay outlet was wild! Where does all this traffic come from? At any rate, we picked up a large pineapple and large cheese and drove it home to enjoy.
The kids opted out of doing group viola/violin class this evening. They ended up playing a game of Uno. I showed them an old YouTube video of Glady’s Knight & The Pips singing “Midnight Train To Georgia”. They got up and pretended that they were “Pips” and I have a video of that… 🙂
Bobby told me that they didn’t do as much riding on this “bike day” at Huband as they did last year. He said that they basically rode down to the rode behind Isacc’s house. He was raving about the BMX bike that the school gave him to ride was fantastic and that if I bought him one he would ride it a lot of the time. Thinking…
Down in Duncan my wife’s boss, Donna, took her on a tour of Lake Cowichan and then out to dinner.
