Bobby woke up early this morning. He says that Maple wakes him up. The chickens got a good start to the day as a result. He even made his own sandwich to take to school (see photo to the left).
I took Bobby to Huband and then swung back and took Katie to Vanier.
Once I got home the effects of the shots I had yesterday started to take effect so I went to bed for a long nap. I woke up at 2 pm as per my alarm. Time to go to school and get the kids again.
On the drive home from Huband Isaac tried to race the car again with his bike. Bobby kept saying to speed up, and I was game for a bit of a race if the kids would enjoy it, but safety first. As it turns out, someone was on the path so Isaac had to stop his bike. We won!
On the drive home from Vanier there was a girl we passed in the parking lot who Katie liked. She told me that it was through her that she met Emma. This is the same girl that apparently calls Katie “Kraft Dinner”, as “KD” is similar to “Ka Tee”. At any rate I asked Katie why she didn’t sit with her at lunch. Katie replied that it’s not done that day as they have their own friend group. I went on to explain that when I was a kid I used to think this too. I used to think that when I saw a bunch of people together that it was a friend group and you couldn’t join. I then went on to elaborate that to some girls you and Madeline might appear to be a friend group. They want to ask you if you want to sit with them at lunch but don’t because you have your “friend group” with Madeline. Little do they realize that you would LOVE to get away from Madeline… I could see her mind processing this new info…
