Day #489 (Sat., May 7, 2011) – Apex Community Park
I showed Katie a picture of a gorilla this morning. I made the sound “ooo ooo ahh ahhh” and Katie tried to mimic it.
We had a Skype with my mother this morning. She took some things over to mom to show her (which is her norm).
We took Katie to the Apex Community Park in Apex this afternoon. There were two kid areas to play in. The first was rather small, and near a ball field. The second one (see photo to the right) was much nicer. It had baby swings and baby slides for Katie to play in. There were also a lot more kids that Katie could stare and poke at. I think Katie enjoyed gathering rocks and sticks and organizing them on the picnic table the most.
