Today is the 10th Anniversary of 9/11…Katie was not even a twinkle in anyone’s eyes way back then.
This evening I took Katie to the playground near Bond Park. First up…the swings. I let her swing as much as she wanted and when she was ready to move over to the sandbox she did. No fuss whatsoever. There were a couple of women playing volleyball in front of her while she was on the swing. She was pointing at the ball and screaming “ball, ball”.
In the sandbox Katie took a toy truck (see photo to the right) from a Chinese boy and he cried and cried. Well, he stole a shovel from her earlier so I guess that this is only fair.
Katie was a real “fussy mussy” this evening. We tried numerous times to put her to bed but she would not go. In the end we had a short drive to Apex and back. She had a short nap and although she was up by the time we got home it did the trick…she went to bed just after midnight.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) Katie got to see some ladies playing volleyball this evening.
