Day #5036 (Fri., Oct. 20, 2023) – Middle School Dance
I picked Bobby up at Glenwood this afternoon as the bus schedule has been erratic as of late. It actually came an hour late the other day. When we got home I made Bobby a peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich. He said he prefers strawberry jam over grape jelly.
My wife picked up Katie from school and the plan was to take her and Leah over to Tinsley’s house for the Fall Dance at Phillips. You can see Katie with her girlfriends in the photo to the left. I gave Katie $20 so she could have pizza with the girls.
Well these initial plans were not to be as the van would not start when they tried to leave Leah’s place. So, I had Bobby change into his karate uniform and we went in the Camry to give the van a boost, then off to karate class. Things went smooth from there, except for the fact that once the van got home it would not start again. It will be out of commission this weekend till we can take it to Lloyd’s Tire on Monday.
The dance was over at 8 pm and I picked up Katie at Phillips. We went to McDonald’s for an ice cream cone as Katie expressed a desire to have one last night but we were rushing to get home after the fair. We talked about the dance and friends and stuff while we enjoyed our cones. This is effectively Daddy/Daughter Chat # for this month.
