I had yet another success with giving Batman the “chicken wrapped blue pill” this morning. I’m tempted to try this trick on the dreaded liver pill, but he hates the smell so much that I’m worried he might catch on to this “blue pill trick” as well, so I will wait… It’s more of a vitamin anyway, and not something really important that he takes like this little blue antibiotic pill.

This morning Bobby woke up complaining of nausea and a stomach ache so my wife and family postponed their plans to go to the aquarium. They let him take a nap and went out without him.
For starters my wife and Katie took a trolley bus to downtown Vancouver and went to Vancouver Outlook Tower (see photo to the left). There was a couple from Toronto in the elevator with them and my wife was wondering what they thought… Perhaps what is all this fuss about, it’s not super high like the CN Tower in Toronto.
As a history note, American astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, opened the Lookout on August 13, 1977. At the time it was the tallest building in Vancouver. Now it is the 8th tallest in the world at 168 meters (553 feet). Interestingly, the observation deck of Vilnius TV tower is at 165 m – almost the same height!
After exploring the sights from the bird’s flight they took a quick walk to a nearby mall. At first they got scared since we entered the designers’ section, but soon found the bridge to a ‘normal’ shopping mall. Katie succeed in finding a few cute outfits, so she was happy. After getting home they finished yesterday’s pizza and took it easy- no evening plans!
Back in Courtenay I had no success with giving the “chicken wrapped blue pill” to Batman this evening. I had to utilize the more forceful “open the mouth and down it goes”. He didn’t seem to be too perturbed by it. In fact, he laid down to me on Katie’s bed and snuggled up against my whiskers and started to purr.
