The hens are settling in to their new home, but Pandora, the biggest one, is such a bully towards the other hens. Katie is very excited that both Pandora and Spot eat food from her hand, just like Valentine. The grey ones are a bit more shy, so it might take time to work them up to hand feeding.
The hens and Valentine are all in the coop when we let them out in the morning, and even during they day sometimes… I wonder if it’s starting to get too cold for them? We might need to plug in the coop heater soon to keep them warm. Katie tells me that the grey ones slept with Spot (see photo to the right). I guess Pandora is by herself…serves you right you bully!
Bobby was riding his bike home from school today when Decklyn, one of his classmates, yelled at Bobby from the bus: “get a real bike”. By the time Bobby got home, he came up with the response: “I will, but why don’t you get a real life and stop bullying people “. Now he just needs to wait for the right time 😂. Apparent Decklyn is a bit of a bully and keeps bothering Bobby’s friend Talliah. Maybe we should introduce him to Pandora and let them deal with each other…
Mrs. Nelson emailed us and told us the resolution to the issue regarding the kids tampering with bikes on the school grounds. She said that they “Announced and brought to attention of the whole school whilst allowing Bobby to be anonymous. Darci and Lucinda are fantastic and very responsive“.
Our neighbor Carolyn has a new German Shepherd puppy named “Mishka”. He is 4 months old and is a nephew of Carolyn’s dog who just died.
