This morning my wife drove Bobby to the North Island Hospital for surgery to fix his “teeth” issue so I drove Katie to Vanier.
The anesthesiologist is British. The surgeon, Dr. Chamberlain, went to UNC and is perhaps from Halifax. He greeted Bobby by saying that he was going to pull all his teeth and Bobby said go for it. The team mentioned that Bobby is better than 99% of kids and most adults. Very chill and cracking jokes with everyone. My wife could tell he was nervous but he held it together.

My wife’s old boss, Jeanette, had two wisdom teeth pulled today.
The surgery lasted for 20 minutes and then there was a 1 hour recovery period. Bobby was very drowsy, which is understandable given the medication. They gave him free popsicles (see photo to the right), and juice and pudding as well.
Once he got home and Bobby’s head hit the pillow he was “out”.
This evening Bobby was doing remarkably well. He drank smoothies and lots of ice cream and even found energy to help his mother make banana bread.
Remember Bobby’s broken wrist in NC? It cost $6000. The cost of today’s procedure? $0… Canadian healthcare!
The surgeon recommended Western University in London Ontario to Katie as a great place for business degrees. He did his undergrad degree there and loved it.
Katie told me that the girl Katie thought was Emma’s BFF, well, she was not… She wants to hang out with Katie more. Emma’s parents are very supportive of the relationship. I guess once of the things they like about Katie so much is that she doesn’t steal… What kind of kids are there around here?
