Day #735 (Sun., Jan. 8, 2012) – House Hunting
It seems that Katie can get into almost anything she wants these days. In the photo to the right you can see her “rearranging” the fridge.
With Katie getting older and more active it would be nice to have a place with a backyard and perhaps a dog for Katie to roam around with. As such we are thinking to move to Chapel Hill as it will be closer to both my wife’s job and my own as well. So, we decided to bundle up Katie this morning and do a bit of house hunting.
We looked at Winmore, Southern Village and Meadowmont. All three areas are great and have their distinctive advantages. Winmore is a community in development so this would give us the opportunity to choose and customize the home that we wanted on a specific lot. Meadowmont is probably the closest to where my wife and I work. We have always liked Southern Village for their “small town” community feel. Anyway, we are just in the preliminary stages at this point.
I was blogging this article this evening and Katie was climbing onto the LazyBoy and that silver “on/off” switch always looks so tempting to her. She touched it and my computer went off. Luckily I didn’t lose anything but it’s time to turn off the feature on my computer.
