Day #1232 (Sun., May 19, 2013) – Glitter Glue In The Lion’s Mouth

Another rainy day…more arts and crafts. We started off the day by me showing Katie how to put the tiny umbrellas that I bought at the Dollar Store yesterday into a foam bowl so that she could make a crazy hat.

Next up Katie decided that her plastic toy lion had dirty teeth and that she needed to wash it out with red glitter glue so it would be ready for school tomorrow.

When Katie put glitter glue on the door knobs it was time to teach her a lesson. Glitter glue was to only go on paper, so we would take it away from her.

2013-05-19 - Pill BoxesStill looking for things to do I unveiled the pill boxes (see photo to the left). Katie enjoyed organizing her tiny hair clips into the various compartments. This activity was finished off by making jungle animal pancakes (by pressing the jungle animal stamps I got yesterday into play doh).

Here was the drama today in trying to get Katie to go to bed for her nap:

————————–
1:45 pm: “I forgot!”, “I forgot to pee!” So – my wife took her to the bathroom to pee and poop, then watch some TV, then read more about grizzly bears.

2:57 pm: “I said: cock-a-doodle-doo, I really said: cock-a-doodle-doo”
—————————

My wife shampooed Katie’s hair last night so we could avoid all that drama this evening. She wouldn’t go to bed though. My wife finally put her to bed at 1:05am…(that’s right 1:05am)…

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
——————————
1) Katie is making a real mess with glitter glue these days.
