Batman and Robin loved to climb inside small boxes and containers (see photo to the left).
I stopped off at Trader Joe’s for supplies this evening. I picked up a huge package of strawberries. I debated about it at first but in the end I got them. Katie just loves strawberries and we can always make smoothies out of them.
In the end I’m glad I did get those strawberries… Katie had a 100.5 degree temperature when I got home and strawberries were one of the few foods she would eat. She sat in the LazyBoy watching cartoons and looking quite miserable.
I decided I would go to bed early and soon afterwards Katie was at my door. My wife told me that she said “Mommy, I don’t want to watch cartoons anymore I just want to be with daddy”. So, she spent some time on the bed with me watching cartoons. She asked a number of good questions about Super Heroes in general. For example: “Why don’t Super Heroes have any parents”? Soon Katie got tired and my wife took her to bed.
Just after midnight my wife was at the door with Katie again. She wanted to watch more Super Heroes with daddy. We put a nice cool facecloth on her forehead…that always helps to cool you down. I individually fed her about two bowls of strawberries. Just before she finished them she said that when she was done she wanted to go play “Jungle” once she had finished. Almost instantaneously after she refused the last strawberry she fell asleep. My wife scooped her up and took her to bed yet again…
