I stopped off at both Trader Joe’s and WholeFoods on the way home from work. Around $260 at Trader Joe’s and another $50 at WholeFoods for goat’s milk…so groceries are expensive…but at least this round of supplies will last for a while.
It was raining like mad when I got home and Katie was out and about in her yellow rain outfit splashing about (see photo to the left). This kid sure loves water. My wife was saying how great the rain outfit is…keeps her nice and dry and warm.
I made lettuce wraps this evening. I put ground turkey, mushrooms and a can of navy beans in the mix. I’m always tempted to spice it up a bit…but Katie won’t eat it if it is spicy so the “spice” aspect is left to the individual eater.
Later this evening Katie was rather energetic and wanted to play. I took her in my arms and vibrated my lips on her tummy like I was playing an instrument. She howled with delight. She loves physical play…but when she brought out her toy golf clubs and started hitting daddy it was time to calm things down.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) I make Katie’s tummy my musical instrument.
