I decided that I would make an appearance at work today. I hobbled in this afternoon after running a few errands about town. I wanted to see if I could get a “Moustrap Game” for Katie and some sort of a toy for little Bobby for Christmas. My efforts in Target were in vain…but I did get some packing tape to wrap presents that my wife requested.
On the way back to work I stopped off at Wal-Greens to get the children’s expectorant that my wife wanted. They did not sell it at Target.
- I left work early to go to the Dollar Store and Wal-Mart. At the Dollar Store I was unsuccessful in getting supplies for my “Do It Yourself Cat Toy”, so I hobbled over to Wal-Mart where I was much more successful. Here’s what I got:
- The original MouseTrap game was out of stock, but they had a pretty close rendition of the game for $19.95 so I snatched it up. It’s amazing how this original MouseTrap game, after all these years, is still a hot item for Christmas. My wife tried to pick one up via Amazon but it was out of stock.
- A workbench toy for little Bobby (see photo to the right). It has three buttons on it that light up and you can smash with a hammer. As the “green flashing light” on the animal train is such a hit, I’m sure he will love this. It also speaks to you and plays songs in English and Spanish.
Styrofoam balls and some catnip for my “Do It Yourself Cat Toy”.
I was thinking I might surprise my wife with what I got on Christmas day, but she preferred that I show her tonight.
