Day #2187 (Wed., Dec. 30, 2015) – Modified Mousetrap Game

My wife is not feeling very well today but at least she is functioning. Last night I was worried that we were both going to be sick. With no nannies this was going to be a very eventful day. My wife did go to bed for a 3-hour nap this morning, so she is recovering from something.

2015-12-30 - Modified MouseTrapI was thinking I would take Katie to see a movie in SouthPoint but my wife suggested we stick around the house. Katie and I ended up playing the Mousetrap game that she got for Christmas (see photo to the left). I taught her how to set up the trap and get it to work. We ended up using it to trap a selection of her plastic animals rather than actually play the game (we could not find the spinner).

It’s hard to believe that we were rushing to try and get the basement cleaned up by year’s end so that we could take Katie’s Lego table down. The worry was that little Bobby would be up and walking by now and we wanted to keep all of the small plastic pieces out of his reach. Well, that was not to be. He will sit and crawl backwards and wiggle from side to side to get a toy or such, but no real crawling to speak of. He does “flap his arms” up and down with that big grin on his face when he gets excited (often times when he sees daddy).
