Day #2235 (Tue., Feb. 16, 2016) – Daddy’s Birthday

2016-02-16 - Clay FiguresThe photo to the left shows the clay figures Katie and I made yesterday from one of her birthday presents.

It was raining cats and dogs when I took Katie to school this morning. She is still having problems in the transition phase from “9” to the next digit, so we practiced that. What comes after 49? What comes after 69? Stuff like that.

When I got home from work this evening Katie gave me a bag with my birthday presents in it. A guitar tuner and a couple of straps for the two child guitars we purchased last week. As fate would have it…about an hour after I opened this gift I found the guitar tuner we purchased a while back. It was on the shelf in the play area with Katie’s books.

Katie did draw up a nice birthday card for me. It had a spirograph design on the back and a picture of me getting eaten by a shark (not sure what that was all about)…

Little Bobby has learned how to play the kazoo. Some adults don’t even know how to get them to work (you hum into them, not blow), but little Bobby was able to figure it out in no time.

Arnesa’s husband Genen gave Katie a blow up skeleton doll. It stands about six feet tall and has writing on the various body parts. He must have gotten it at a conference.
