Day #2388 (Mon., July 18, 2016) – Knee Replacement?
We have a new camera as you can see in the photo to the left. Bobby accidentally dropped our red one and the shutter will not close. Oh well, it was getting a bit “tired” anyway…
I’m on vacation all this week. I need to use a week of vacation up by the end of July or I will lose it as per our terms of work. Last year I took a whole month off due to Bobby’s birth.
I had a doctor’s appointment at 10:30am this morning and my wife came with me. We dropped Katie off at the Chapel Hill public library on the way to the visit. She has a math class. Genevieve is going to pick her up and bring her home when it is over.
The doctor’s appointment was not what we expected. We thought he would look at the MRI I had done on Friday and schedule another appointment to go in and repair the meniscus. As it turns out there is a “bone on bone” situation in my left knee and I need to wear a brace for a couple of months to determine if I am a candidate for partial knee replacement surgery. Ouch! (figuratively and literally)!
After the appointment my wife and I went to the Hibachi Grill for lunch and then to CiCi’s for haircuts. See what exciting vacation/day off times you have when you have two kids?
Izzy is tending to both Bobby and Katie today as Cameron is flying back from Michigan and will be at work tomorrow. Izzy said that Bobby really makes her laugh. His little antics and that sly little grin he gives you when he wants the remote or your cell phone.
