Day #2394 (Sun., July 24, 2016) – Two Helium Balloons
My wife took Katie to Ellie’s birthday party this afternoon. Ellie is one of Katie’s classmates who moved from Cleveland last year. They have their own big swimming pool and I guess they had a wonderful time.
Fortunately for me she was able to put Bobby to sleep before she left. This meant I had less “wear and tear” on the left knee, which was nice.
I went to the gym this afternoon and stopped off at the Dollar Store to pick up a couple of helium balloons on the way home. I got a “You’re #1” balloon for Katie (for her swimming accomplishment) and an Elmo balloon for Bobby. You can see them both in the photo to the left. Bobby was fascinated with how it floated into the sky.
We are noticing more and more that it’s hard to keep Bobby on the ground. If there is something to climb on he will climb on it. He fell off our koala stool this evening and although he didn’t get hurt he was scared and started to cry.
Katie wants a bunny and showed me the coins that she has to pay for one. She’s not sure if I should build a cage once I get better, or we should get Everett to build on, or mom to buy one from Amazon. I showed her the part of her wallet where the bills go and she said she didn’t notice that before. I told her that I would give her some expired credit cards to put into her wallet and she was excited about that.
This evening I showed Bobby how an umbrella worked. He was fascinated with the opening and closing of the contraption.
