Day #2508 (Tue., Nov. 15, 2016) – Book Fair Owl
Katie was playing with our train set with Bobby last night and left the tracks out on the floor. On the drive to Glenwood I mentioned to her how hard this was for me to navigate with my bad knee. She apologized and said that she would do better in the future. That’s my girl.
Katie mentioned the fact that she jumped on my knee and that’s why I have a hard time walking now. I corrected her and said that my other knee was acting up too and needed a replacement soon so it was not her fault that I’m having a hard time walking. She laughed and said that she was not going to let her children jump on her knees.
At noon time today I drove to Target to check out their Hot Wheels sets. They had some, but not the “slide down the track and do a loop or jump” sets that I had as a child.
I had to rush home after 5pm this evening as my wife was going to Glenwood for a meeting. Arnesa took her but I needed to tend to Katie and Bobby. Katie spent the evening watching “Ant Farm” in the bedroom and I managed to feed Bobby a bowl of oatmeal, two jars of prunes, and half a jar of apple dessert while he watched various YouTube videos.
There is a book fair currently at Glenwood school. Katie showed me this adorable little owl that she picked up at it (see photo to the left).
