Day #2687 (Sat., May 13, 2017) – Paper Mache Dog & Fat Cat
Jui Lan, our neighbor, just got back from a trip. She brought us the little chicken you see in the photo to the right. It has little chocolate kisses inside.
As soon as Bobby went to bed for his afternoon nap I brought out the gift that I picked up for Katie at Barnes & Nobles yesterday. My wife and I helped Katie assemble it.
After a bit my wife went to bed for a nap and I stayed up and played with Katie. We started off by creating a couple of paper mache animals on the patio. I created a little dog and Katie created a “Fat Cat” as she called it. Now we need to let it dry and then we can paint it.
Katie then wanted to play a couple of rounds of Pay Day. When that was done she said she wanted to cuddle and watch the news but everyone was up by that time. I’m not sure why she wanted to cuddle. Is she feeling neglected? Or insecure and wants to talk about something? Not quite sure…
This evening I put a little roller under a cardboard box and when Bobby jumped in we had a “Row Row Row Your Boat” vehicle. I would sing and roll the box over the roller back and forth and he would say “More…”.
