Day #2688 (Sun., May 14, 2017) – Mother’s Day
Today is Mother’s Day so that plan was to give my wife breakfast in bed. The plan was for Katie to be the waitress and take the order and I was to be the cook. Well, with Bobby up, that was not to be. We ended up giving my wife breakfast on the couch. My wife wanted two slices of turkey bacon and one sunny side up egg. Well, the egg turned out so well that my wife ordered another.
With breakfast out of the way, I gave my wife the combination Mother’s Day / Anniversary gift I got last week. A huge canvas painting of Katie & Bobby. We’re going to put it on the wall of the stairway down to the basement.
This afternoon I drove out to Lowe’s to get a couple of 2×4’s (see photo to the right). The plan is to put these on the living room floor so that both Katie and Bobby can use them as balance beams. Bobby took to them right away.
I went to Trader Joe’s for groceries this evening. Katie drew up a shopping list. She wanted two types of ice cream, mango and chocolate-chip, a watermelon, and white bread.
This evening I gave Bobby another one of the robots that I picked up at WalGreens a while back. For some reason the original one he had stopped working…even after I changed the batteries.
