Day #2776 (Sat., Aug. 12, 2017) – Murrin’s Birthday Party
Arnesa’s friend and family are arriving in Charlotte from Bosnia on Sunday night. They will be in Chapel Hill on Monday so a lot of work is being done to get their apartment in order. My wife went over to their place to organize twice today.
My wife took Katie to Murrin’s birthday party at Chapel Hill Gymnastics this afternoon. They don’t want gifts, but Katie did make a birthday card for her. I suggested that we make an animated card, so we created a couple of popouts of a heart and a birthday hat (see photo to the left).
Zoe was scared at Murrin’s birthday party as they came late and she was in unfamiliar surroundings. She tried to curl up on her mother’s lap. Katie said that she understood why she was scared. It reminded my wife of when Katie acts this way.
Katie has been complaining that her butt hurts. She might have fallen when she was in gymnastics camp this afternoon.
We go down to Katie’s room each evening to go through the tasks that she has completed each day. She is inching along, but not doing as well as she could. As a result, it looks like she will be getting the dog in November, not October.
Bobby loves to play the piano when he is in Katie’s room. Both my wife and I comment on how well he plays…even at two years old.
