Day #3111 (Fri., Jul 13, 2018) – Leaving The “Green House”
The photo to the left is the cottage we were staying at. Bobby affectionately calls it the “Green House” for obvious reasons.
I was back at Magic Beans at 6:30 am this morning. We are leaving for home this afternoon so this will be the last time I will be here. The lady who owns the place told me that she pays $1500 per month for rent. A lot cheaper than the $7000 per month that the drug store pays on Franklin Street.
This morning we went shopping for a replacement rug for the one that Maple destroyed. We didn’t really like the ones that the local “Big Lots” type store had, so we went to Wal-Mart. We didn’t like the Wal-Mart prices, so we went back to the “Big Lots” type store and picked up a smaller one for only $15. Hopefully, Mary will be happy with that.
I spent the morning taking care of the kids while my wife cleaned up the house and packed the van. My legs are still in no physical condition to do this type of work just yet.
On the way home, we stopped off at the McDonald’s in Wallace? (or near there). I stayed in the car with Maple while the kids burned off some energy in the play area. My wife went inside to supervise them.
We got home around 5 pm this evening. I didn’t get any emails from UNC today. Dzenen and Arnesa arrived home around 9 pm.
