I stopped off at Costco this morning to gas up the car as the trip to Victoria will be a long drive and I want to get the cheapest gas possible given the problems with the Strait of Hormuz.
Katie and Bobby had a few games of “Exploding Cats” this morning, but by 1pm Katie and I were off. We drove straight to Nanaimo where we got off the highway and had a Subway sandwich near the Walmart & Chapters (the bookstore).
After a quick meal we were off again. The next stop was at Tim Hortons for a bathroom break and two “Vanilla Sprinkled” donuts. We both stated that this was our favorite donut that Timmie’s sells, and how we longed for the return of Dunkin. Incidentally, this Tim Hortons was in Lake Cowichan, right next to where my wife works.
Next up? The Air B&B on Nancy Street. The combination lock at the door gave us a bit of problems, but we figured it out. We dropped our bags off and then drove to see Fort Street, where Katie will be getting her “Austism Test” tomorrow.
We then continued to drive around Victoria and took the scenic route along Beach Street, where all the most expensive houses are. We saw two deer in one of the yards enjoying a meal of flowers and trees.
Next up was the Shoppers Drug Mart (near the Walmart) where we are living to get some makeup wipes for Katie. Right across the street was the Little Caesar’s Pizza that we stopped at in August when we stayed at Kristina’s place. We picked up a large cheese pizza and took it home.
The Air B&B we are staying at has a hot tub, but we didn’t try it out. We watched some YouTube videos about “Air Traffic Controller Conversations” and some funny cat & dog videos and then “hit the hay” for the busy day tomorrow.
