Katie’s autism assessment today is from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, with a one hour lunch break, and then from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
We left home at 9:30 am and had breakfast at Subway, which was just down the street from the assessment center. Katie ordered a breakfast sandwich but was so nervous she only had one bite, so I finished it for her. We then walked down Fort Street to the assessment center and once Katie was greeted by the doctor I left to go get a coffee.
I ended up down the street at Bubby Rose’s Bakery & Cafe where I ordered a large cappuccino and a muffin. While there I started to watch the Amazon Prime series “The Boys”. I got half way through Season #1 and Episode #1.
Around 12:15 pm I walked back to the assessment center to pick up Katie. For lunch she felt a bit more adventurous than Subway so we ended up back at Bubby Rose’s again. This time I got a cinnamon bun that we shared.
After the assessment we drove back to our Air B&B on Nancy Street to rest. Later this evening we went to McDonalds to get some take out then went back home to watch some YouTube animal videos and then “hit the hay”. The hosts left some waffles in the freezer so I had some of those along with some coffee from the pod coffee machine.
Back in Courtenay today Bobby played with Ethan a bit, cut a few fern leaves, and went to bed very early. He wasn’t feeling well all night long.
